Where have we all been?
I am an unhappy fartface at the moment, driven slightly off by this insistent cough and feeling rushed. Processes of creation are fabulous things and most probably completely unrelated to matters of time (ask Alexandra about time) but I can’t shake dat cooped up feeling. Am also frankly DISGUSTED that recording a proper single seems to involve 1 million more steps than recording a demo that turns into a single.
Meanwhile the creative imprisonment of making The (bloody) Dogs' Home finished has been eased substantially by frequent interactions with my fellow Contrarists, the first people in 'Astings to rilly flote my bote. Nothing quite like seeing a miniature gorilla standing on a miniature carver waving his hands in the air. Nothing quite like watching Aleister Crowley stare back at you from the wall of a vodka bar. Nothing quite like finding poetry in a MySpace comments box. How very surprising.
