Jesus. Forced change is a right fucker, but it has its up parts. More time to listen to The Smiths for the first time, in fact listening properly to any music at all, concentrating on it, feels luxurious. First time in months I’ve wanted to digest a band’s entire oeuvre, but then there aren’t many bands worth attending to that actively. More time to write, I hope, with no money and therefore more hardship to inspire it. But will levels of self-loathing increase proportionate to time available?
Watching:
DVD of us on September 30. Found us quite heavily intimidating. And I’m in the band. Hmm.
Also watching Trinny and Susannah.
