A two date tour - what crazy and difficult and emotion-high and overflowingly right times. I'm nostalgic already, listening to The Atom Spark Hotel, wishing for new dates, waking up freewheeling and optimistic - for the first time in, what, a year or more? - romanticising New York, flying through Hastings, finding new old cafés and shops to linger in, above all escaping from work and expectation and mundanity.
The last two weeks have been among the hardest times - the world becomes strangely unsurprising after 60 hours awake while the aftermath is unsurprisingly lengthy - and the most amazing - especially the Freebutt and the post-gig glow. If we get good video of London it will be the first time I have ever seen Alexandra in full performance flow, one of the cruellest ironies of performing together.
