PRESS: Joyzine has reviewed The Black Tulips and other bands at last Friday's gig.
Here is what they say:
The Black Tulips' Siouxie-ish punk, far darker and more gothic than on their impressive demo, initially intimidated as many as it attracted, but once they hit their stride and pulled out tunes like the wiry 'Just Keep Coming', they soon began to win the crowd over. Singer Alexandra commanded the stage (well, the corner of the room that the bands had set up in) with an imposing presence, fixing the crowd with an icy stare and belting out her unique vocals with unrivalled intensity.
